How Long?

So how long can a person live with a refusing cheater? Interesting question. Sex is not something a person has to have to exist, so a person who does not have sex can live as long as anyone else.

But that is not the situation. In a marriage, there are two people, not just one. And what really is different about a marriage? Two people can live together, share expenses, and spend time together and not be married.

But in marriage, sex is expected. Of course, there may be exceptions where sex never occurs, but that is the exception not the rule. And a nonsexual marriage cannot survive unless BOTH spouses are ok with it. So if one spouse is forcing the other into a sexless marriage against the refused spouse’s will, one of two things will eventually happen. The couple will divorce, or the refused spouse will eventually succumb to the temptation to have sex with someone else.

A healthy, sexual person cannot be celibate forever.

But again, don’t hold your breath waiting for this to ever be discussed from any pulpit.

  1. I read once that a man with a normal healthy love life actually lives longer. That would mean that without it you don’t live as long. That sounds like a requirement to me.
